The SPT2 male connector has a couple of uses within the SPT2 cable system.
1) You can use it to give you a male plug end if you are using SPT2 cable that does not have a male end.
2) You will need the male connector along with a female connector if you are looking to extend the existing cable on the system or creating a branch off the main run using an off-cut of SPT2 cable.
